Prosper Academy: Finance - Budgeting Basics 101

Title: Finance: Budgeting Basics

Budgeting Basics is designed to help neurodivergent adults build confidence and independence by learning how to manage money through simple, hands-on budgeting strategies. 

By focusing on topics like budgeting principles, expense tracking, saving for goals, and preparing for unexpected costs, this course helps participants develop real-world financial skills that reduce stress and promote long-term financial stability. Through guided instruction, practical examples, and individual support, learners gain the tools to create and maintain a budget that fits their personal goals and lifestyles. 

Participants will: 
• Learn how to create and manage a personal budget using the envelope system 
• Understand the difference between fixed, variable, and irregular expenses 
• Develop strategies for tracking and adjusting spending each month 
• Practice saving for both short-term and long-term goals using clear, realistic methods 
• Plan for emergencies and learn how to adapt their budgets when life changes 
• Build consistency and accountability through guided reflection and ongoing support 

By the end of the course, participants will feel more prepared to manage their money with clarity, flexibility, and confidence. They will leave with personalized budgeting tools, a practical savings plan, and a deeper understanding of how to stay financially organized and proactive. The final four weeks of the course focus on maintaining progress through structured check-ins, peer discussions, and individualized coaching to reinforce strong financial habits and long-term success.

A-Team JV Spring Break Camp: Operation Sensation

We are excited to announce A-Team: Operation Sensation, A-Team’s 2026 Spring Break Camp! We’re going to be exploring the different senses by doing different activities, games, and experiments focused on using and understanding the sense of the day. Like traditional A-Team, these activities will encourage social connectedness and allow participants to learn through fun and play!

This class is designed specifically for neurodivergent adults who want practical, realistic ways to declutter, downsize, and organize their homes...without shame, pressure, or perfectionism.

Led by Chandler of Organization by Chandler, a professional organizer, this supportive and engaging class will focus on organization strategies that work for real life. You’ll learn how to create systems that fit your energy, habits, and needs...not someone else’s idea of “tidy.”

We’ll cover:

  • Neurodivergent-friendly approaches to decluttering and downsizing

  • How to organize your space in ways that are functional and sustainable

  • Strategies to reduce overwhelm and decision fatigue

  • Letting go of “shoulds” and finding what actually works for you

Get Moving!

This inclusive fitness event is designed for teens and adults on the autism spectrum and is led by Brandon Herring from Adaptive Physical Fitness. The session focuses on building confidence, comfort, and practical movement skills.

Participants will begin with a short, accessible discussion about health and fitness, including what they are, why it matters, and how movement can be adapted to fit different bodies, energy levels, and sensory needs. This will be followed by a 20-minute guided exercise routine using simple, no-equipment movements that can be done at home. All exercises include options and modifications so participants can move at their own pace and comfort level.

This event is not about performance or intensity. It focuses on learning how to incorporate movement into daily life in a way that works for you. Programming will be offered in two age groups, ages 13–17 and ages 18+, with activities and discussion tailored to each group.

Let It Shine: Art Camp

In partnership with Why Arts, Autism Action Partnership is excited to announce 
Let it Shine: Summer Art Camp!

Campers will combine performance and visual arts with imagination to have an art experience that encourages them to be the best they can be!

Half of camp will be dedicated to exploring performance arts such as dance, movement, and acting. There will be a 20 minute break for campers to enjoy a home-provided snack and drink.

The other half, campers will explore visual arts such as painting and drawing. There will be an artist from Why Arts for each session and AAP staff.

Title: Work: Workplace Success

Prosper Advantage: Workplace Success is designed to help neurodivergent adults build the professional skills, confidence, and communication strategies needed to succeed in the workplace. By focusing on topics like first impressions, effective communication, appropriate work place conversations, and managing stress, this course helps participants develop real-world skills that promote independence and success in a variety of job settings. 

Participants will: 
• Learn how to demonstrate professionalism and workplace readiness 
• Develop clear and effective communication and interpersonal skills 
• Understand work ethic, integrity, and how to meet or exceed expectations 
• Practice strategies for managing stress and responding to feedback appropriately 
• Gain insight into workplace culture and teamwork dynamics 

By the end of the course, participants will feel more prepared to navigate workplace expectations, communicate confidently with coworkers and supervisors, and build the foundation for long-term career growth and success. A-Team Reunion

Join us for the Q1 A-Team reunion: GAME ON style! The reunion will be held 2/21 from 12-2 at our Autism Action Partnership office, 10909 Mill Valley Rd, #205. This event is for past/current A-Team participants ONLY and is not open to the public.

Because GAME ON has been such a hit, we wanted to keep the theme going and host a reunion with the same vibe. We will have 2 consoles and TV's set up for the participants, Nintendo Switch games, board games and other activities at the table, and of course, A-Teamers are encouraged to bring their own handheld devices. After introducing ourselves, it's complete FREE PLAY! A-Team staff will be there to facilitate if needed and join in on the fun. 

We will have some small snacks available and bottles of water. Please send them with a snack if they prefer one from home. 

Participants are welcome to come and go as they please and are not required to stay the whole 2 hours, or arrive right on time at 12.

Prosper Academy: Sound, Stillness & Circle - A Rhythmic Reset with Jason Horacek

We’re excited to welcome local musician Jason Horacek, known throughout the community for his immersive sound baths and uplifting drum circles, for a unique, interactive workshop focused on self-soothing through sound.

Participants will be invited to choose from an assortment of drums and explore how rhythm, breath, and gentle flute sounds can support relaxation, emotional regulation, and nervous system balance. Guided by Jason’s steady presence and intuitive facilitation, we’ll come together in a drum circle experience that emphasizes listening, connection, and ease—no musical background required. Instruments will be provided!

This session offers a chance to slow down, release tension, and discover simple sound-based practices you can return to whenever you need grounding, focus, or calm...at work or at home.

Making Memories: Galentines

Galentine’s Day at The Makery

Calling all girls and women on the autism spectrum! Join us for a fun, relaxing, and creative Galentine’s Day celebration at The Makery. This day is all about connection, creativity, and enjoying time together in a supportive environment.

Participants will create a custom door hanger guided by The Makery team, with all materials provided. No prior experience is needed, and everyone will leave with a one-of-a-kind piece to take home.

$2 per person reservation fee

Girls and women on the spectrum may be accompanied by a parent or friend. This is not a drop-off event for individuals under 18 years of age. All ages are welcome, with a recommended minimum age of 6 years old.

Food will not be provided for this event, but participants are welcome to bring their own snacks. To help protect the materials being used, we ask that only dry snacks be brought to the event.

This 6-week course helps participants understand why home systems matter by exploring executive functioning — the brain’s management system for planning, organization, and follow-through. From there, participants build personalized, sustainable systems for maintaining a functional, comfortable, and low-stress home environment.

Participants will:

·        Understand how executive functioning impacts daily home management.

·        Identify personal strengths and barriers related to organization, planning, and follow-through.

·        Develop practical, individualized systems for cleaning, meals, and routines.

·        Learn tools for reducing overwhelm and building consistency.

·        Create a long-term plan to maintain and adapt their systems as their lives change.

Budgeting Basics is designed to help neurodivergent adults build confidence and independence by learning how to manage money through simple, hands-on budgeting strategies. 

By focusing on topics like budgeting principles, expense tracking, saving for goals, and preparing for unexpected costs, this course helps participants develop real-world financial skills that reduce stress and promote long-term financial stability. Through guided instruction, practical examples, and individual support, learners gain the tools to create and maintain a budget that fits their personal goals and lifestyles. 

Participants will: 
• Learn how to create and manage a personal budget using the envelope system 
• Understand the difference between fixed, variable, and irregular expenses 
• Develop strategies for tracking and adjusting spending each month 
• Practice saving for both short-term and long-term goals using clear, realistic methods 
• Plan for emergencies and learn how to adapt their budgets when life changes 
• Build consistency and accountability through guided reflection and ongoing support 

By the end of the course, participants will feel more prepared to manage their money with clarity, flexibility, and confidence. They will leave with personalized budgeting tools, a practical savings plan, and a deeper understanding of how to stay financially organized and proactive. The final four weeks of the course focus on maintaining progress through structured check-ins, peer discussions, and individualized coaching to reinforce strong financial habits and long-term success.

Before we can build strong relationships or confidently advocate for ourselves, we must first understand who we are. Social: Understanding Me guides participants through the process of discovering and defining their sense of self. Through reflective activities, group discussions, and creative exercises based on our Mapping the Parts of Me series, participants will explore their values, interests, strengths, and goals.

Participants will:

  • Be able to identify and describe key aspects of their identity.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of how autism (or neurodivergence) influences their communication, sensory experiences, and relationships.

  • Recognize their personal needs, boundaries, and energy levels, and practice communicating with them clearly using structured self-advocacy statements.

  • Identify different types of relationships and describe how roles, responsibilities, and communication styles vary within each.

By focusing on topics like resume writing, cover letter creation, job searching, and interview preparation, this course helps participants develop real-world job readiness skills that promote independence and self-advocacy in the workplace. 

Participants will: 
• Create and update a professional resume that highlights their strengths and experience 
• Write personalized cover letters tailored to specific employers 
• Learn effective strategies for searching and applying for jobs online 
• Understand interview expectations and practice professional communication 
• Develop confidence in following up with employers and accepting job offers 

By the end of the course, participants will feel more prepared to approach the job search process with clarity, confidence, and the practical tools needed to take the next step in their careers.
