This inclusive fitness event is designed for teens and adults on the autism spectrum and is led by Brandon Herring from Adaptive Physical Fitness. The session focuses on building confidence, comfort, and practical movement skills.
Participants will begin with a short, accessible discussion about health and fitness, including what they are, why it matters, and how movement can be adapted to fit different bodies, energy levels, and sensory needs. This will be followed by a 20-minute guided exercise routine using simple, no-equipment movements that can be done at home. All exercises include options and modifications so participants can move at their own pace and comfort level.
This event is not about performance or intensity. It focuses on learning how to incorporate movement into daily life in a way that works for you. Programming will be offered in two age groups, ages 13–17 and ages 18+, with activities and discussion tailored to each group.
