Celebrate Kate Noble Weitz, Help is Hope Award Winner
Kate Noble Weitz has dedicated the past decade to advancing services, acceptance, and inclusion for the autism community.
Kate paved the way for the PATCH program at Children's Hospital and Medical Center, orchestrated several years of successful "Ladies Dance Party" events, and was the creator and director of this year's city-wide, one-of-a-kind festival, Common Senses Festival - among many other accomplishments.
Kate is a dedicated Board Member for Autism Action Partnership, strong advocate for the autism community, and an active doer when it comes to inclusion work. But most importantly, she is mother to Freddie, a sweet, energetic 11-year-old with autism.
When Freddie was diagnosed with autism, Kate dove head first into educating herself, her friends and family, and the community. She connected with doctors, non-profits, and professors - never stopping to advance inclusion and services for autistic individuals.
As you may very well know, Kate's ability to go bold goes far beyond her colorful hair. She approaches this work with determination to ensure our communities accept and embrace individuals with different abilities.
